Guided Tour of La Purisima Mission

Join the Lompoc Homeschool Group on a guided tour of La Purisima Mission.

The tour will be roughly 1.5 hours and will travel through the mission grounds and buildings. The tour focuses on typical 4th grade curriculum standards of California history. Starting with early ancestors of the Chumash people and how they lived prior to the establishment of the mission system. It then continues with how missions became missions, focusing on the La Purisima Mission daily life & labor. The tour covers the hardships, complexities, and legacy of the rich history of the La Purisima Mission.

Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to our tour time to give your self a chance to explore the Visitors Centor.

Feel free to bring a picnic lunch. We will plan to picnic on the grounds after thr tour.
