Tour of the Lompoc Museum and Artisia School

We will plan to meet at the Lompoc Museum steps 15 minutes prior to the start of our tour (8:45am). After a brief introduction, children will be given a scavenger hunt list of questions, a small clipboard, and pencil. The questions can be answered from the exhibits throughout the Museum. The Museum docent then acts as a resource for specific questions from students. Hands-on experiences are part of the tour upstairs along with a Chumash game downstairs. The Scavenger Hunt includes the main floor and downstairs gallery.

After the Chumash tour at the Lompoc Museum, the group can either walk or drive in personal vehicles to Artesia for the second portion of the tour. The Artesia School Museum is a traditional tour with a more formal presentation and limited hands-on activity before we are free to move around the classroom looking at displays.
